    • This second book in the Inspector Devlin series suffers from the same sloppy POV problems as the first book, but a more engrossing mystery somewhat makes up for it. On the other hand, the author cheats at the mystery at times by having the viewpoint character keep secrets from the reader.In this installment, I was much more invested in Devlin and Freddie's relationship. One might think that's a good thing, and it would be true for the vast majority of the time, but since the book ends—unexpect [...]
