AWESOMENESS. I'm really loving this series I'm halfway through the anime now, so one of these days I'll get ahead of the show, but as of right now I knew everything that was going to happen in this volume! That's basically the only reason I'm giving these 4 stars instead of 5 Because they really are awesome. The anime is getting all the wow-factor for me, so these are more predictable, which only slightly lessens my enjoyment of them.

Okay this one was better than vol 1 yet the art is still bad. I just think the anime is better even for this volume. But I'm quite enjoying it so far! I'll probably catch up with the manga sooner than I expected to since all the chapters are action packed and fun even if I already know what will happen (until season 1 final and another spoiler i accidentally saw :/)

  • Mario

This series is beyond amazing. I liked this volume even better than the first one. Amazing characters, great plot and brilliant art style. Can't wait to read the third one (hopefully they'll translate vol 3 in my country soon, 'cause I really hate waiting).

“I'm sorry Eren. . . I can't. . . Give up. If I die now. . . I won't even be able to remember you. So no matter what. . . I'm going to win! Whatever I have to do, I'm going to live!!” I love this with a passion.

Now comes the action, action, strife, and more action. And don't forget the big reveal!Neon Genesis Evangelion flashbacks, anyone? This is the volume where it gets good. :)

2nd reading: still feeling about the same as I originally did.~Original review:Well I was sort of right with my guess in the spoiler of my review of the first book.Still not loving the story all that much but found myself starting the third volume immediately after I finished this, against my better judgment. For some reason this book seemed a lot shorter, though maybe there were just more action scenes and less talking and set-up so it made it go by quicker.I've heard from countless people tha [...]

I'm already loving this series so much!

Animede yarattığı etkinin aynısını yarattı; yine malum sahneler kalbimi kırdı, içimi burktu. Japonya'nın George R.R. Martin'i, zalim Hajime Isayama!

StoryThis is the part of the series that really started to suck me in. While Eren can be a bit frustrating at time, I absolutely love Mikasa. She might be my new favorite female character in all of Japanese fiction. We get a lot of depth added to both her and Eren and the nature of their bond in this one. We're also presented with a new wrinkle to the Titan problem which is left unresolved in the anime and a large part of why I decided I had to start reading the manga itself.Overall I think this [...]

Pet zvezda:1. Odlična grafika2. Sve intrigantnija priča3.

  • Veronica Morfi

What the hell was that ending? What is going on? I need to know!!!

  • Lily

WOW. That was incredible! The ending completely blew my mind and the build up was perfect. Highly, highly recommend this series!

4.5 StarsReading this volume has pretty much sealed my extreme love for Attack on Titan. I’ve always heard that a manga can only get better after its first volume, and while I don’t think this is true for all manga series, it is definitely true for Attack on Titan. My love for the characters (especially the totally kick butt Mikasa Ackerman), story, concept, and art, which is improving, has only increased with reading this. This volume mainly focuses on the character Mikasa–and wow, she is [...]

  • Zombieslayer/Alienhunter good freaking grief

A/N: I screwed up Eren and Mikasa's relation in my review for vol. 1. I *think* it was meant to be misleading, then clarified in vol. 2.Or I could just be an idiot.I believe in all possibilities. Anywho. On with the review.-ZThe Titan assault on humanity's last known stand continues. The Army has been put into active combat for the first time in five years, scores of them are dead, people have abandoned their posts and evacuating the town has become impossible.Mikasa Ackerman, the corps' stronge [...]

I wonder what kind of mentality Eren has, killing people left and right since childhood. I mean it is good that he wants to save Mikasa, but it is scary how he stabbed men with lots of anger. Now Eren became an interesting character for me. And now I know backstory of Mikasa and understand her love for Eren, for her savior. Quite strong girl she is. That particular infamous scene (view spoiler)[ where Eren got eaten by titans(hide spoiler)] and poor Armin's scream was horribly sad. At least (vie [...]

Enjoying them as much as I enjoy the anime 👌

Boom! I loved this one SO much more than the first. I'm regretting only buying #2 today, I should've bought the next 5 books, hot damn. This series is really taking off now. LOVED the back story for Mikasa, so devastating. I like that she comes a little undone in this volume. She starts to lose her cool slightly and show her real emotions which is wonderful. Armin kind of pissed me off. I mean, I get it, he's traumatized, but so is everyone. People are being eaten left and right. Armin needed to [...]

  • Lanie (Lanies Book Thoughts)

In this volume, we get to see our main characters from the first book all grown up. Mikasa and Eren have decided to become part of the military unit to protect and explore the world. Just after these two graduate the wall is breached again. This issue makes a real impact because you get to see how Mikasa came to live with Eren and his family. In the last volume, I totally assumed they were brother and sister, but that's technically not the case. The story of what happened to Mikasa is both heart [...]

this vol is really fantastic, i loved it! it has quite a variety of nude scenes which was kind of disturbing, so i had to take it into my own hands to censor the bums, but other then that it was great! i really love the action scenes, i think all the moves are done really well, you can totally get what they're meant to be doing and i find myself animating it in my head. i worried that because they use 3D Maneuver Gear all the time the poses would become really recycled and not much fun, but that [...]

3.75 starsReally enjoying this series however not as obsessed with it as everyone else and I find many times it's hard to read the pictures. Overall supper faces paced and will be continuing on with the rest of the novels.

    3,5 / 5*Zacina to byt hustarna! Song k tomuto svazku:NOM NOM NOM

  • Marialena I.

An awesome continuation!!!! The best part, is the fact that Mikasa's past is revealed, how she met Eren and his parents and in what circumstances her bond with him was created!!!

  • Anesha †Curious & Obsessive Bookworm†

    I screamed.In excitement.And more excitement.It's that fucking good.

  • Dimitris

I liked it but don't think it deserves 3 stars but meh whatever I'm going to read the next volume for sure, I guess that's why the 3 stars. Story is still building up, action scenes all over the place (duh, manga) and well the artwork, man THE ARTWORK the artwork sucks so much that I'd rather read Howard Chaykin's comics or whatever his last name is spelled out. The dude who draws everyone the same with huge jaws like they're all straight out of Godfather being hit with a shovel in the face and [...]

I saved up for a kindle fire (since my nook can't handle manga + I wanted a tablet for other reasons anyway) and OH MAN does this look super nice on it!!!!! So crisp. So HD. The drawings in this book are a bit messy, which was hard to distinguish sometimes especially with all the action going on, but overall this was great and leaves you in suspense for the next one!

  • Sarah Olson

I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one. However, it did pick up towards the end. I also enjoyed the back story it gave us.
